Martha's Vineyard Little League is a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching kids the fundamentals of baseball in a safe and fun environment.

Our league has five levels.
 
T-BALL is for kids 4-6 = is a great way for them to start learning how the game is played. T-ball is played with a "soft" covered ball. T-ball is very instructional, with coaches on the field, and every kid getting a chance to play every position.

Farm League is for kids 6-8 =  and some 9 years old who are interested in learning more about the game. In farm league the coaches pitch to simulate the "live" ball kids will encounter at the higher levels of baseball. Farm League is played with a "soft" covered ball. Farm League begins to stress some of baseball's nuance, individual skills and team play.

Minor League is for kids 7-12 = who are ready to start playing baseball with the hard ball, and kids pitching. Minor league is still an instructional atmosphere, with the kids learning on the field in real game action. Kids will get exposed to many of the positions on the field and get a chance to hit in a continuous batting order. Minor league will help to improve skills, to be ready to tryout for the LL Majors in the future. With the hopes of making the games and practices fun and productive. Little League Minors ends the season with playoffs that include every team ending with a championship game and awards.

Little League Majors is for kids 9-12 (Everyone 10 yrs old and older must try out- If not selected players will be put on a minor league team)= To be selected to the Majors, players must tryout. Once a child is selected for a team they remain on that team until they leave the program. Little League Majors is a fun and competitive brand of baseball. Kids play at an exceedingly high level, and form close team and personal bonds over a four month season culminating in our playoffs and championship game..

Junior/Babe Ruth League The Junior/Babe Ruth League Baseball Division is a program for boys and girls ages 13-15 using a conventional 90-foot diamond with a pitching distance of 60 feet, 6 inches. Martha's Vineyard participates in the Gateway League for this age group. This is a travel league with games off island on the weekends. Summer All-Star/Tournament teams: All players playing in at least 50% of theirs teams games during the season are eligible to be selected to a Summer Tournament team. We generally have at least 3 -6 teams playing in different age levels.(14's, 13's, 12's, 11's, 10's, and 9's and sometimes 8's) A strong commitment will be required to be on these teams. These are all dependent on having volunteer coaches who take time in the summer to coach these teams, most tournaments are on weekends.
